Barbershop in Hialeah Destroyed by Arson Fire, Confirmed by First Responders – NBC 6 South Florida

Hialeah Fire Rescue officials have confirmed that an arson fire destroyed a barbershop early Friday morning. According to reports, two men threw a Molotov cocktail at the business located on West 1st Avenue and 49th Street, shortly before 3:30 a.m.

Video footage from the scene showed massive plumes of smoke emanating from the business as first responders worked to extinguish the blaze. Fortunately, the fire was brought under control and did not spread to neighboring businesses.

The business owner, Ariel Esquivel, expressed deep disappointment at losing everything even though he had insurance. He mentioned that they had no reason to suspect anyone and hoped that the police would be able to find those responsible.

While no injuries were reported due to the fire, eight employees are now without a job. Esquivel mentioned that they felt terrible and were all unemployed, but they were hopeful that they would be able to slowly recover from the incident.

Hialeah Police confirmed the existence of surveillance video but have chosen not to release it at this point. As of now, there is no information on the identities of the individuals who started the fire or if there have been any arrests made.
