Boulder Valley Science Stars: Winners of the 2021 Corden Pharma Colorado Regional Science Fair

Winners of the regional science fair announced by Boulder Valley School District – Longmont Times-Call

The annual Corden Pharma Colorado Regional Science Fair, sponsored in partnership with the Boulder Valley School District, has announced its winners. In the junior division, Tejas Raman from Boulder Country Day won best in show for a project in the Earth and environmental science category. The other first place winners were Sebastian Hoeffer, Sophia Bronstein, Miles Stelzer and Quinlan Childs of Summit; Asha Jeter Patel and Levi St. Germain of Sacred Heart; Maya Rokhlenko, Olive Spohn, Ellery Kallal and Miles Montgomery of Flagstaff Academy; and Ripley Goode of Boulder Country Day.

In the senior division, Sophia Zhang and Claire Huang from Fairview High won best in show for their project in the chemistry category. The other first place winners were Abby Mirsky, Dylan Greco, Sasha Trask and Ethan Bonnell of Centaurus; Jorja Bond, Zachariah Nagle, Kelly Yang, Lucia Nuel, Elton Cao and Angelina Wang of Fairview; and Keahi Pelkum Donahue of Nederland. The top 37 projects will move on to the Colorado Engineering and Science Fair in April in Fort Collins. Three senior projects also qualified for the International Science and Engineering Fair in May in California. The students whose projects qualified for the international fair are Zhang, Huang, Cao and Wang.
