NBC Chicago Seeks Suspects in Spate of Burglaries at North Side Restaurants

A recent string of 12 restaurant burglaries on the Near North Side of Chicago has prompted police to issue a warning to businesses in the area. According to a news release from Chicago police, the burglars targeted patio doors and stole cash registers and money.

The burglaries occurred between January 9th and February 6th, with most of them taking place in the morning. Four burglaries occurred on West Kinzie Street, while two happened in each of three other blocks: Orleans Street, Illinois Street, and Hubbard Street. There was also one burglary each on North State Street and West Hubbard Street.

Chicago police believe that the men responsible for the burglaries are between 30 and 35 years old, stand at about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weigh between 160 and 170 pounds. The woman involved is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. Anyone with information about the burglaries is encouraged to contact the police at (312)744-8263.
