As the India U-19 team prepares for the World Cup final, captain Uday Saharan has urged his team to beat Australia. In a huddle against South Africa in the semifinal at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, Saharan told his teammates that they cannot lose to Australia again.

The team’s WhatsApp group was formed just five days after their heartbreaking ODI World Cup loss to Australia. The conversation in the group centered around India’s dominance over their yellow brigade counterparts. Sanjay Dhas, father of Sachin, who starred in the semis with 96 against the best pace attack of the tournament, shared his thoughts on the matter.

“Most talk was about how Australia has always dominated India in big tournaments,” said Dhas. “We lost the World Test Championship (WTC) final and then the ODI World Cup final.” He emphasized the importance of beating Australia and mentioned that there is no greater pride than doing so in the final. “Each one of them is ready for this match,” he added. “They want to beat Australia at their own game.”

During a moment shared with his teammates on their way to a hotel after a tie against Pakistan vs Australia, Captain Uday Saharan told everyone, “We can’t lose to them again.” This statement only served to further motivate his teammates as they prepare for their upcoming match against Australia in the World Cup final.
