The Fredericksburg Christian Health Center has been making a significant impact in the community for the past 20 years. This faith-based and nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing free and reduced health care to those who can’t afford it. In 2023, the center celebrated its anniversary and was able to hire a full-time behavioral health counselor thanks to a grant from the Virginia Health Care Foundation.
In addition to its ongoing operations, the center received a grant from the Joe and Mary Wilson Community Benefit Fund of Mary Washington Hospital in 2024 to support its efforts. According to its website at fchc.us, the center ministers “to the body, mind and spirit in order to bring about healing in all three.” For more information on how you can get involved or receive services, interested individuals can reach out to the center at 540/785-8500.
