David Bakhtiari intends to continue playing in 2024, according to report.

Despite being released by the Packers, David Bakhtiari is not ready to retire just yet. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Bakhtiari is actively rehabbing his knee and plans to return to the field for the 2024 season.

Since tearing his ACL in late 2020, Bakhtiari has been plagued by knee issues that have limited his playing time. He only appeared in 11 games in 2022 and missed all but one game in 2023 after undergoing another surgery. The Packers made the decision to release him earlier in the month.

Despite his recent setbacks, Bakhtiari is a highly decorated player with two first-team All-Pro selections and three second-team All-Pro selections to his name. He will celebrate his 33rd birthday at the end of September, but he remains determined to make a comeback in the upcoming season.
