During Project Convergence – Capstone 4, U.S. Army Capt. Craig Roberts, Sgt. Chris Laird, and Lt. Gen. David M. Hodne conducted a demonstration of the Health Readiness and Performance System at Fort Irwin. This system uses tracking applications to monitor a soldier’s health. Lt. Gen. Hodne also viewed other medical technologies such as the new patient litter system, HRAP, new training aids, and patient treatment systems used during Role I and II of PC-C4.

The role of Role I is to provide initial trauma care to incoming patients, while Role II focuses on advanced trauma management and surgery. The U.S. Army is hosting PC-C4, a Joint, Multinational experiment that includes participants from various branches of the U.S. military as well as partner and allied countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, France, and Japan. PC-C4 is the culmination of multiple exercises and events, providing a critical venue to refine recommendations necessary for transforming the Army and ensuring readiness for future conflicts.

The demonstration showcased the latest advancements in medical technology and their applications in providing essential care to soldiers in the field. It highlighted the importance of innovation and integration of new tools and systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical operations in military settings. The event served as an opportunity to explore ways to improve medical readiness, streamline patient care, and adapt to evolving challenges on the battlefield.
