Looking for ideas to keep the kids entertained during their spring break? Consider planning a spring break “playcation” at Discovery Center for a day filled with fun activities and hands-on learning opportunities. The museum offers more than 300 interactive exhibits for children to explore and enjoy.

During spring break, Discovery Center will have special additions to their usual programming. This includes weekday planetarium shows at multiple times, live science demonstrations, special projects in the Makerspace, and art activities in the Art Studio. These activities are designed to engage children of all ages and interests.

To accommodate families with children on spring break, Discovery Center will have special hours the week of March 25. The museum is typically closed on Mondays, but will be open on Monday, March 25, in addition to its regular operating hours. From Monday, March 25 to Saturday, March 30, the museum will be open every day from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

General admission to Discovery Center is $10 for adults and children ages 2-17. However, admission is free for Discovery Center Members and children under the age of 1. Spring break activities, with the exception of planetarium shows, are free of charge. Planetarium shows cost $1 for the public and $0.50 for members. Additionally, admission to the temporary exhibit, Discovery Town, is an extra $1 for the public but free for members.

If you’re looking for a fun and educational way to spend your children’s spring break, consider visiting Discovery Center for a day of interactive fun and learning. With a variety of activities and exhibits to choose from, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the museum.
