NBC Sports Reports the Signing of Matt Haack by the Bills

The Bills recently made several announcements regarding their roster, with punter Matt Haack being welcomed back on a one-year deal while some veteran players were let go. Among the departures were safety Jordan Poyer, safety Siran Neal, center Mitch Morse, running back Nyheim Hines, and wide receiver/kick returner Deonte Harty. The team also confirmed the signing of guard David Edwards on a two-year deal.

While rumors circulated about the release of cornerback Tre’Davious White, the team did not make an official announcement regarding his status. Haack previously punted for the Bills in 2021 but was replaced by Matt Araiza during training camp the following year. He then played for the Colts in 2022 and appeared in one game for the Browns before joining the Bills’ practice squad. Despite having Sam Martin on their roster, releasing him could free up $1.25 million in cap space, which may be considered as part of their cost-cutting efforts.
