Yahoo Sports reports that Zach Ertz has been signed by Commanders

As reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, 33-year-old free agent tight end Zach Ertz will be joining the Washington Commanders. Ertz most recently played for the Lions, but only on their practice squad during the postseason without seeing any playing time. Prior to that, he played for the Eagles and Cardinals, where he had a good relationship with former Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who is now the Commanders’ offensive coordinator.

Ertz will sign a one-year contract with Washington and will have the opportunity to prove himself with a team in need of offensive rebuilding. Despite his age, Ertz remains determined to show that he can still make valuable contributions to the team. With his experience and talent, he has a chance to be an important player for Washington as they look to turn things around on offense.
