In October, the Superior Health Foundation awarded $722,065.93 in proactive pediatric mental health grants to six organizations. These grants were awarded during the foundation’s fall grant award celebration. The Michigan State University – Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, Inc., Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc., Catholic Social Services of the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan University and Marquette-Alger RESA were the recipients of these grants. The Pediatric Mental Health Grants will be awarded over a two-year period.
The event was presented by 44North and marked an important milestone for pediatric mental health care in the region. This funding will help these organizations continue their work in providing comprehensive mental health services to children and families in need.
