Bernie Clarke, a dedicated volunteer at the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry, was seen tirelessly manning the stuffing station of the Thanksgiving bag assembly line on Monday morning. The pantry, located at St. Agnes Church, saw its volunteers devote over an hour to packing bags, with an estimated 275 bags of food set to be distributed throughout the day.

Linda Young, the organizer of the event, spoke about the importance of community support and dedication in helping those less fortunate. She said that their efforts were aimed at ensuring that everyone in need had access to a Thanksgiving meal. The bags packed by the volunteers would go on to make a significant difference for many families during the holiday season.

The mission of the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry has always been to provide food security to those in need.
