Google unveils new AI video creation tools in response to Sora, the dog that never was

The marketing strategy begins with creating a need and then selling the solution. Google’s work tools, such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and Docs, are used by 3 billion users, with many using them for free with limitations. However, 10 million users, consisting of 40% individuals and 60% companies, pay to organize with these applications. Now, artificial intelligence is being introduced to enhance this experience, with each added advantage costing $10 more per month.

During Google’s annual meeting in Las Vegas, the company announced new digital innovations, including the introduction of Vids, an audiovisual editor similar to Open AI’s Sora tool. Google Workspace, which includes 11 applications like Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Chat, Docs, Sheets, and more, offers different pricing tiers ranging from free to $17.25 per month.

Google Cloud CEO, Thomas Kurian, introduced the renewal of Google Workspace with Gemini, an artificial intelligence tool aimed at meeting user demands. The new innovations include meeting and messaging add-ons, security plugins, and the Google Vids application for creating videos. Vids is an all-in-one video, writing, production, and editing assistant that will be available to paying Google subscribers at first.

Image 2, another AI model similar to Sora, is also being introduced for Gemini 1.5 Pro users, allowing developers to create videos from text messages. This development aims to provide organizations with the ability to generate high-quality videos at an enterprise scale. These new innovations are in response to the Open AI movement and respond to the need for AI-powered video creation tools.

Overall, Google is focusing on enhancing the user experience with artificial intelligence and offering new and innovative tools through Google Workspace. These developments aim to improve productivity, security, and creativity for users across different industries.
