Google has been investing heavily in AI technology for years, and the Search Generative Experience (SGE) is just one example of how this investment has paid off. Available in Search Labs, SGE showcases the progress made in AI and highlights Google’s commitment to enhancing its products and services through AI.

In December, Google entered the Gemini era, a new milestone in AI development that sets a new standard for text, image, audio, and video benchmarks. Gemini is not just about models but supports an entire ecosystem of products, APIs, and platforms for developers and businesses to innovate.

One of the largest models developed by Google during this era is Ultra 1.0, which has surpassed human experts in massive multitask language understanding (MMLU), testing knowledge and problem-solving abilities across 57 subjects. Today, Google is introducing Gemini Advanced, an even more powerful version of the model capable of reasoning, following instructions, coding, and creative collaboration. This technology is available through the Google One AI Premium plan.
