Hezbollah commander allegedly intentionally killed by Israel

According to the military, Israel’s air force targeted a vehicle in neighboring Lebanon, killing an important commander of the anti-tank unit of the Shiite militia Hezbollah. He had considerable knowledge of anti-tank missiles and was responsible for dozens of attacks on Israeli civilians, communities and security forces, the army said on Sunday. The information could not initially be independently verified.

An air force plane hit a vehicle in the southern Lebanese region of Kunin “in which Ismail Al-Sin was located,” who was “eliminated,” the army said on Sunday. Lebanese military circles had previously reported an attack on a car in Kunin that left one dead. The place is around ten kilometers from the border with Israel.

Since the beginning of the Gaza war after the massacre by the Islamist Hamas and other extremist groups in Israel on October 7th, there have been daily, sometimes deadly, confrontations between Israel’s armed forces and militant groups such as Hezbollah. According to Israeli information, there were again rocket attacks from Lebanon on Israeli border towns on Sunday. A soldier was injured. The military then attacked targets in southern Lebanon.
