McLeod Health is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its medical staff. Dr. Akida J. Green, MD, has joined the Department of Inpatient Medicine at McLeod Loris Seacoast as a Hospitalist, while Dr. Lisa M. Ryder, MD, has joined McLeod Emergency Physicians and the McLeod Regional Medical Center Medical Staff.
Dr. Green, who is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, comes to McLeod from upstate South Carolina where he previously worked at Prisma Health and Incompass Health. He also served as the Medical Director of the Anderson Free Clinic in Anderson, South Carolina. Dr. Green completed his medical degree at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) in 2004 and finished his Internal Medicine Residency at Summa Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio in 2007. In his free time, Dr. Green enjoys singing, playing billiards/pool, violin, weightlifting and board games/card games.
On the other hand, Dr. Ryder is a native of Rome New York who has joined McLeod Emergency Physicians and the McLeod Regional Medical Center Medical Staff with her passion for emergent care that started with her service as a paramedic which eventually led to her path as an emergency medicine physician.
Dr Ryder received her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse New York in 2017 and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester Department of Emergency Medicine in Rochester New York in 2021.
In addition to travel cooking hosting social events she enjoys spoiling their dogs Shadow and Luna with her husband Justin Hartley.
