NBC Sports reports that the Jaguars have decided to part ways with Rayshawn Jenkins.

To prepare for the upcoming league year, the Jaguars made several roster moves. One of these was using the franchise tag on linebacker Josh Allen. This move ensured that Allen would remain with the team for at least one more season.

In addition to tagging Allen, the team released defensive lineman Foley Fatukasi and cornerback Darious Williams. These moves helped free up cap space for the team, which was necessary to stay under the salary cap.

There were also reports that safety Rayshawn Jenkins could have been a cap casualty for the Jaguars. Jenkins had signed a four-year deal with the team before the 2021 season and had started every game he played for them over the past three years. In 48 regular season games, he accumulated 101 tackles, a sack, two interceptions, and nine passes defended. Jenkins also had 14 tackles and a pass defended in two postseason games after the 2022 season.
