Technology classes at LLCC cater to seniors to enhance their skills

Lincoln Land Community College is now offering free classes to senior citizens who are struggling to keep up with the rapidly changing technology. The courses will focus on the basics of email, internet, mobile devices, cybersecurity, computer fundamentals and video conferencing. These classes will be held at the college’s downtown Springfield center located at 130 W. Mason St. According to Laurel Bretz, an assistant vice president at LLCC, the world’s shift towards digital services and access has left many older adults feeling isolated, frustrated and socially excluded. More information about the classes and registration can be found at llcc.edu/digital-literacy.
