The Hulk Reprising Role in Captain America: Brave New World

During a recent discussion with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Mark Ruffalo, who has played Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for many years, confirmed that he will be returning to the franchise in the upcoming film, Captain America: Brave New World. Although Ruffalo didn’t reveal much about his role in the movie, he simply stated that “it’s going to be great.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating more news about Captain America: Brave New World, and while details are still somewhat scarce, we know that Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, aka Captain America. Additionally, Harrison Ford will take over the role of Thaddeus Ross following the passing of William Hurt in 2022. Thaddeus Ross has a significant history with Bruce Banner and in some storylines becomes the Red Hulk, which has led to speculation about the introduction of this character in the film.

Ruffalo took a break from the MCU in recent years but has continued to be involved in Marvel projects such as She-Hulk and What If…? He also appeared in non-superhero films. Captain America: Brave New World is set to be released on February 14th, 2025 and fans can look forward to more Marvel news including the company’s release of the first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine.
