Medina, Ohio is celebrating Small Business Saturday on November 25th to promote local businesses within the city. Small Business Saturday is part of a larger “Shop Small Movement” founded by American Express in 2010, which helps small businesses draw in more customers and thrive. The event takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday at the height of the holiday shopping season.
To celebrate, Medina will be hosting a table in the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square from 11 am to noon with “Shop Small” handouts and info about Medina’s small business community. Additionally, Santa will be dropping by Wichert Insurance from noon to 2 pm for photos with children.
According to a recent Main Street Medina press release, over 90% of the business district store fronts in Medina are filled with local, independent retail shops, boutiques, restaurants and pubs as well as a wide range of services.
