A variety of natural events have been making headlines recently, from the narrowly missed roof avalanche in the Alps to the reemergence of Death Valley Lake. Aerials captured the devastating destruction of a tornado in Texas, while “ice bombs” rained down on cars in yet another startling occurrence. In Buenos Aires, there was a major flooding surprise, while a dangerous fungus found at a Seattle hospital poses a potential threat to public health.

On a lighter note, moose joined skiers in Wyoming and there was a stunning desert scene in Phoenix. In an even more unusual occurrence, a landslide slammed a piano out of a house as homes teetered on the brink of collapse in California. The search for the missing marines was hindered by bad weather, but the beautiful, albeit messy day in Bountiful was also captured on camera. Finally, the Coast Guard ships breaking ice apart were not to be missed in this roundup of natural events.
