Parkview Health deepens collaboration with Cincinnati Children’s

Parkview Health and Cincinnati Children’s have recently announced an expansion of their partnership to provide more care options for families in Northeast Indiana. As the top children’s hospital in the U.S., Cincinnati Children’s has been working with Parkview since 2011. The two systems have now signed a letter of intent to further develop and enhance their partnership, with plans to build a dedicated pediatric hospital on the Parkview Regional Medical Center Campus.

Dr. Roy Robertson, president of the Parkview Heart Institute, is responsible for overseeing all of the hospital’s specialty service lines. While there is no specific timeline for the construction of the pediatric hospital at this point, Robertson has stated that they are aiming for an aggressive timeline. The priority is to ensure that the necessary infrastructure and staffing are in place before the physical building is opened.

Robertson emphasized the importance of providing high-quality care with minimal challenges for pediatric patients and their families in the region. By expanding their telehealth collaboration, patients and families now have access to consultations with experts in pediatric, neurosurgery, rheumatology, preventative cardiology, and drug-resistant epilepsy at Cincinnati Children’s. This initiative is aimed at providing the best possible care to pediatric patients in Northeast Indiana.
