Newest Addition to % Arabica’s MENA Empire: Amman, Jordan Launches 45th Outlet with SOHO Middle East Partnership

% Arabica opens its first store in Jordan, solidifying its presence in the Middle East region

In July 2023, % Arabica announced its partnership with SOHO Middle East to open its 45th outlet in the Middle East and North Africa region. This new store is located in Amman, Jordan, making it the eighth market the Japanese specialty coffee chain has entered across the MENA region. The store is situated at Abdali Boulevard, a mixed-use site in Amman.

The partnership with SOHO Middle East will also result in the opening of % Arabica stores in countries like France, Germany, Portugal, and Greece. Jordan now joins Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia as part of % Arabica’s presence in the MENA region.

% Arabica is known for its high-quality coffee beans and unique brewing methods. With over 100 branded coffee shop outlets in Jordan alone, international operators play a significant role in shaping the country’s coffee culture. Starbucks leads the market with 30 stores followed by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf with six sites and Costa Coffee with five outlets. Domestic operators such as Dimitri’s Coffee and Donuts Factory are top contenders with eight outlets each in Amman while Blue Fig has three stores and two coffee carts.
