NNPH appoints Chad Kingsley as District Health Officer

Chad Kingsley has been appointed as the new District Health Officer for Northern Nevada Public Health, with the employment agreement formalized at a Thursday meeting. His first day on the job will be on May 13, following the retirement of Kevin Dick who held the position for 40 years. Despite his retirement, Dick will temporarily support the department during the transition period.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, Kingsley stated, “My family and I are excited to be part of the community and can’t wait to get started.” Kingsley was selected after a rigorous nationwide search process that attracted over 90 applicants. His annual salary will be $190,008, with additional benefits totaling $79,608 and $15,000 in moving expenses.

Previously, Kingsley served as the Public Health Director for Mohave County, Arizona, where he collaborated with the Southern Nevada Health District from 2012-2022. He holds a medical degree from a university in Mexico as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Western Governors University. The new appointment marks an important milestone for Northern Nevada Public Health as they look forward to the leadership of Chad Kingsley in the coming years.
