Orlando Health South Lake Hospital is expanding its presence in Clermont as part of its regional growth plans. The nonprofit health system, with $9.6 billion in assets under management and a fiscal 2023 revenue of $6.1 billion, is set to open a five-story, $140 million patient tower on Feb. 12. The new building, located at 1900 Don Wickham Drive in Clermont, will add to the existing 147 beds at the hospital.
The expansion of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital represents a significant investment in the community and provides additional capacity to meet the growing healthcare needs of the region. This expansion will enhance the hospital’s ability to provide specialized care for women and babies, further solidifying its position as a leading healthcare provider in the area.
The new building will house the Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies, as well as practices tied to the Orlando Health Women’s Institute. The 212,000-square-foot building will open with 58 beds, with the potential for an additional 30 beds in the future through shell space. This expansion reflects the health system’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to the region.
