Panthers make adjustments to Ian Thomas’ contract

The Panthers made some moves to create cap space recently. Center Bradley Bozeman was released on Wednesday, which will help free up some room. Additionally, tight end Ian Thomas will be staying with the team after restructuring his contract. The specifics of the restructuring are not clear, but it is likely similar to the pay cut Thomas took last year to remain with the Panthers.

Thomas is entering the final year of his contract and was due to receive a $1.5 million bonus soon. Bozeman, cornerback Donte Jackson, and tight end Hayden Hurst are also on their way out of Carolina. Thomas has been with the Panthers for six seasons and has recorded 116 catches for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns throughout his career.
