Bernie Clarke, a dedicated volunteer at the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry, was seen working tirelessly at the stuffing station of the Thanksgiving bag assembly line. The volunteers at the pantry, located at St. Agnes Church, gathered on Monday morning to pack bags for those in need. Under the leadership of organizer Linda Young, they worked diligently for over an hour to ensure that no one would go without a Thanksgiving meal.
The community support and dedication to helping those less fortunate was evident in their efforts. Linda estimated that they would distribute around 275 bags of food throughout the day. The bags packed by these volunteers would make a significant difference for many families during the holiday season.
The mission of the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry to provide food security to the community has been crucial in their work. Bernie and Linda’s dedication, along with others who give their time and resources, has been instrumental in supporting those in need. This demonstration of care and generosity has had a profound impact on countless lives in the Lake Placid area.
