The 10th round of the Premier League passed without any major incidents, with the hosts generally emerging victorious. It is becoming increasingly clear that the big battles for entry into the Champions League will be fought in the coming weeks.
In the first match of the round, Osijek opened strongly against Varaždin, taking a commanding 5-0 lead. However, Varaždin quickly rallied and by halftime, the score was tied at 17-14. In the second half, Varaždin took control and won convincingly with a final score of 35-29.
Zagreb also had a successful outing, despite resting some key players against Gorica. Despite leading by a goal or two in the first half, Gorica was unable to keep up with Zagreb’s strong play in the second half and lost convincingly.
Karlovac and Trogir played a closely contested match, with Karlovac holding a minimal advantage throughout. Trogir waited patiently for their chance but ultimately fell short and lost the game.
Igor Vori’s team pulled off an impressive comeback against Moslavina in the last 15 minutes to win their fifth straight game. Meanwhile, Križevci extended their losing streak to six games without a win as they fell to Poreč in a hard-fought battle.
Spačva was dominant throughout their match against Metković and emerged victorious with ease, while Rudar won painlessly against Kaštela in what was expected to be a tough derby match.
