The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and the village of Saranac Lake are excited to announce that the 10th annual Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Truck Parade and Tree Lighting will take place on Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The parade kicks off with a gathering of area fire departments in the spirit of unity and collaboration. The route will feature fire trucks from Broadway to Main Street, with a special guest, Santa Claus, leading the way.

After the parade, festivities continue with a tree lighting ceremony in Berkeley Green from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Santa will light the tree while everyone is invited to join in a festive holiday sing-along with Northern Lights Choir. Warm cookies and hot cocoa will be available next to the bonfire.

Kids will have an opportunity to visit Santa from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Saranac Lake Free Library. Children can share their wish-lists with Santa and capture the moment with a photo.

A 40-foot tree donated by Moody Tree Farm will be illuminated at Riverside Park at 7:30 p.m., bringing joy to all who attend this beloved event made possible by the support and collaboration of several valued organizations, including the Women’s Civic Chamber, the Saranac Lake Free Library, Adirondack Health, and the Northern Lights Choir
