Seahawks Reportedly Interested in Laken Tomlinson and Cody Whitehair

The Seattle Seahawks are still in need of help along the offensive line and are considering veteran guards to fill the gaps. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Seahawks have expressed interest in Laken Tomlinson and have discussed bringing in Cody Whitehair for a free-agent visit.

Laken Tomlinson, 32, played the last two seasons with the Jets, where he played every offensive snap for the franchise. A former first-round pick, Tomlinson was a Pro Bowler for the San Francisco 49ers in 2021. He has played in 146 games with 138 starts since entering the league as the No. 28 overall pick in 2015. Tomlinson was released by the Jets in February.

Cody Whitehair, 31, spent his first eight seasons with the Chicago Bears before being released in February. A Pro Bowler in 2018, Whitehair played in all 17 games with 11 starts for the Bears in 2023. He was on the field for 69 percent of the Bears’ offensive snaps.

Both Tomlinson and Whitehair are experienced guards who could potentially provide the Seahawks with the stability and talent they need on the offensive line. The team is actively exploring their options to bolster their roster ahead of the upcoming season.
