The Friuli Venezia Giulia region recently released a promotional video for the upcoming WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Finals, which will be held in Castions di Strada, Italy from July 15 to 21. The video showcases stunning images of the region and includes a welcoming message from Massimiliano Fedriga, the president of the region.

The event marks a significant milestone for Italy, as it is the first time the country has hosted such an event. The Women’s Softball World Cup will be held in Europe for the second time, with the Netherlands having previously organized the event in 2014. Last year, Ireland and Spain also joined Italy as hosts of the Group Stage.

The Stadio Comunale in Castions di Strada will host Group A games featuring teams such as the USA, Canada, Italy, and China. Meanwhile, Group B will feature Japan, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, and Australia. Four games are scheduled each day during this period. Tickets are available for purchase online or at local box offices.

Fedriga expressed his excitement about hosting this global tournament and hoped that it would not only crown champions on the field but also strengthen connections between people across borders and cultures. He believed that it was an opportunity to promote peace and understanding through softball diplomacy.
