Two Demos and the Final Trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Released Ahead of Launch

In a thrilling announcement during the Sony Interactive Entertainment State of Play, Square Enix has revealed that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo is now available on PS5. The demo allows players to experience the opening chapter of one of the most eagerly awaited games of 2024.

The demo will be divided into two parts, with the second section scheduled for February 21st. This provides players with an opportunity to explore the vast game world before the official launch on February 29th, exclusively on Sony console.

During the State of Play, in addition to the demo, Square Enix also presented the final trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The trailer offers a detailed overview of the plot and characters, including their mission to catch Sephiroth and save the planet. It showcases new locations, minigames and returns some familiar characters from previous installments. A new battle system has also been introduced that combines real-time action with strategic controls.

The “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim” demo includes an extensive flashback section that allows players to relive one of the crucial story missions set five years before the main events of the game. Later on February 21st, players can expect an updated version titled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon,” which offers additional exploration and combat possibilities. However, it’s important to note that progress made in this section will not be transferable to the full game, but steps present in the first demo can be skipped in the full game. Completing this demo will result in bonuses such as a moogle lucky charm and a set of adventure items that can be used throughout Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Overall, Square Enix’s presentation offered a comprehensive overview of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s features and mechanics, including methods of traversing different locations within each area, new minigames and character interactions that influence how story unfolds
