Stunning Wildlife Images Captured in World Nature Photography Awards

The World Nature Photography Awards showcase stunning photographs of the natural world, with winning photos selected in 14 different categories including Underwater and Animal Portraits. One standout image capturing gannets fighting over a fish in the Shetland Islands earned the grand prize in the contest.

The World Nature Photography Awards recently announced the winners of their 2024 competition, featuring captivating images of animals, landscapes, and natural scenes. Photographers from around the globe submitted thousands of photos to the annual contest, and a panel of judges selected winners across categories such as Underwater, People and Nature, Plants and Fungi, and Animal Portraits.

In an effort to promote sustainability and increase awareness of the climate crisis, the World Nature Photography Awards team plants a tree for every photo submitted to the competition. In addition, a tree is planted for every print sold of a winning photo. This year’s top prize of $1,000 and the title of World Nature Photographer of the Year went to Tracy Lund.
