Passenger Passes Away During Royal Caribbean’s 9-Month Ultimate World Cruise

A tragic incident has occurred on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Serenade of the Seas. The ship is currently sailing on its nine-month-long Ultimate World Cruise, which began in December with tickets reportedly costing $53,999. Unfortunately, a passenger on board has passed away, as confirmed by Royal Caribbean on February 12th. The company expressed their deepest sympathy and support to the deceased passenger’s loved ones and stated that they would not be sharing any further information at this time.

E! News reached out to Royal Caribbean for their comment but has yet to receive a response. The news of the passenger’s death was originally shared by a TikToker named Adita, who has since deleted the video in which she shared the news. According to People, she mentioned that an elderly lady had passed away the night before and that she witnessed her body being taken out.

The Serenade of the Seas is part of Royal Caribbean’s Ultimate World Cruise, which is considered one of the longest cruises in history. It takes passengers to over 60 different ports in 274 nights across five continents and 14 seas. Despite this tragedy, many passengers continue to enjoy their trip and share their experiences online using various social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
