526 children killed due to Russian military aggression, says Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office

Children have been severely affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with at least 526 of them falling victim to Russian military aggression as of February 10, 2024. Additionally, 1,218 minors have been injured in the violence. The latest report from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine highlights the devastating impact this war has had on children, with many losing their lives and others being injured.

The report also noted that at least seven people, including three children, were victims of a Russian attack in Kharkov on January 31st, where a six-month-old baby and four and seven-year-old children lost their lives. This tragic incident underscores the urgent need for action to protect children in Ukraine from further harm.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, children have suffered the most in several regions, including Donetsk, Kharkov, Kherson, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Chernihiv and Lugansk. It is important that we take immediate action to address this humanitarian crisis and ensure that children are safe and protected from further harm.

The international community must play a crucial role in addressing this crisis by providing aid and support to those affected by the conflict. We must also work towards finding a peaceful solution to this conflict so that children can grow up without fear or danger. The impact on children is particularly grave and it is imperative that we act now to ensure their safety and well-being.
