The U.S. U-17 team is set to face Germany in the round of 16 at the U-17 World Cup on Tuesday at 3:30 am ET, with a chance to make it to the quarterfinals for only the second time in 18 years. The Yanks have appeared in seven out of eight tournaments held during that time and are led by talented players such as Liverpool youngster Keylor Figueroa, Charlotte forward Nimfasha Berchimas, and San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Cruz Medina.

The U-17 Yanks’ lone quarterfinal appearance since going back-to-back in the last-eight in 2001 and 2003 came in 2017 when they reached the semifinals before falling to England, who went on to win the tournament. This time around, Gonzalo Segares’ team is determined to make it even further and bring home a trophy.

The baby Yanks won two of their three group games against South Korea and Burkina Faso before being knocked out by France 3-0 in the finale, finishing second place in Group E. On the other hand, Germany has had a successful run so far, winning all their group stage matches against Mexico, New Zealand, and Venezuela.

Fans can catch the USA vs Germany match on NBC Universo at 3:30 am ET on Tuesday (Nov. 21). They can also stream it online through Telemundo Deportes and the Telemundo app.
