Wide receiver K.J. Osborn to join the Patriots

The Patriots made moves to bolster their receiving corps this week, re-signing Kendrick Bourne and Jalen Reagor. In addition to retaining these players, they also added a new wide receiver from outside the organization. According to reports from NFL Media, the Patriots have reached an agreement with K.J. Osborn on a contract, although the terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Osborn was drafted by the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2020 draft and primarily played a special teams role during his rookie season. However, he transitioned into an offensive role in 2021 and has since accumulated 158 catches for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns over the past three seasons. His versatility and experience will be valuable additions to the Patriots’ receiving corps.

With the addition of Osborn, the Patriots now have a strong group of wide receivers that includes Bourne, Reagor, Tyquan Thornton, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Demario Douglas, and Kayshon Boutte. This diverse and talented group will provide options for the Patriots’ offense and create opportunities for success in the upcoming season.
