President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed grave concerns that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine could lead to a global war, citing Russia’s involvement in conflicts worldwide and its refusal to back down unless pressured by the United States and China. In an interview with UK tabloid The Sun, Zelenskyy pointed out Russia’s role in training Hamas militants and its partnership with Iran, suggesting that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is deliberately provoking escalation.

Zelenskyy emphasized the critical role of China in putting pressure on Russia and preventing further aggression. He noted that while China is not interested in the Middle East like Russia and Iran, it has a significant influence on Russia’s behavior. He warned that Ukraine is at the center of global risks of World War III and urged both the US and China to work together to confront the situation before it’s too late.

The president also acknowledged the challenges facing Ukraine in garnering support from US Congress and its inability to defend itself without assistance from Western countries. He emphasized the implications of a potential defeat by Russia, warning that NATO countries could be next if Ukraine falls.

Zelenskyy’s comments underscored the urgent need for international support to prevent further escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and deter Russia from any further aggression.
