Zizooboats GmbH, a company that operates boat rentals and other water-related activities in Berlin and Vienna, is currently facing insolvency proceedings. The Berlin branch of the company is in preliminary insolvency proceedings, while insolvency proceedings are also pending against the parent company Zizooboats GmbH Wien. Coparion and Check 24 Ventures have been involved in both the Berlin and Vienna branches of the company.
The provisional insolvency administrator in Berlin has taken over control of the situation and is now responsible for securing and preserving the assets of the debtor by monitoring their finances. Meanwhile, Viennese lawyer Paul Kessler has filed a bankruptcy petition at the Vienna Commercial Court, which has ordered Zizooboats GmbH to transfer an advance payment of 4,000 euros for the start-up costs of the bankruptcy proceedings and to submit a completed list of assets by February 23, 2024.
It’s worth noting that Yacht magazine was the first to report on Zizoo’s insolvency after complaints about their business practices in the past such as unpaid boat rentals and refunds for cancellations and failed boat rentals. The Charlottenburg District Court announced that the provisional insolvency administrator has been granted authority to collect bank balances, other claims from the debtor, as well as accept incoming funds.
